I have given my nail a new scene over the weekend. I was planning to go back to Color Culture in One Utama, but without appointment in advance they failed to squeeze an hour or two for my fingers. So I turned to Missy Nails, where they provide soft gel polish as well (hard gel required filing on your nails before applying gel type nail polish, which I think will hurt your nails).
The lady who served me named Tutu (what a cute name), she handed me a basket of color choices but none of them were from OPI. This time I wanted something cute with a hint of rebellious, like a naughty girl having fun on her 10 little chubby fingers. At first I was excited to make each finger nails a different shade of color, but considering my career does not allow me to flirt on my image, so I end up leaving 2 color on the desk—Dodger blue and dull magenta.
The Dodger blue was used as the main color tone to create a vintage theme; while the dull magenta was only painted on my left ring finger and right index finger to add a snap of rebellious. That’s me, a daddy daughter look but with a hidden naughtiness inside.
Review of Missy Nails:
Service: I don’t really like them trimming my cuticle as they had over done it, where I feel pain after few hours. The color I choose was slight diluted but they applied 3 layers before the top coat, I would say they were kind of generous. Yet, they were providing free gel polish removal service if you had your gel polish there. But I paid RM 20 to remove my gel polish as it was done in Color Culture.
Pricing: The gel polish cost me RM 108 + gel removal RM20 = RM128. It was not cheap compare to Color Culture for a basic gel polish.
Return: I might go back for removal, but not sure if I will visit again for next nail polish, will continue looking for a better place/better manicurist.
