When I was first arrived in UK, I was greeted by the unique British college dressing style and I fell in love with it, instantly. Everyone there was dressing in their own sense of style. They were so good in mixing and matching colors, prints and styles, they brought all the elements together into an attractive fashion, effortlessly.
Blue sweater + gray shorts + bright orange pumps + pastel green cambridge satchel
Basically, they layered their clothes (due to the cold weather), mixing styles (feminine + edgy), bringing prints together (stripe/leopard + floral), adding some fun/standout elements, and never be looking “done” (a bit lazy or laid back will be great). It was just like a game that I used to play with my Barbie doll, mix and match out of my unique fashion sense. Among all the British college style apparels, I paid more attention on leather jacket, print/colorful scarf, and BAGS!!!
Hello !! Cambridge Satchel
Especially satchel and messenger bag. They did a perfect job on giving a laid back student feel to the whole attire. When I first saw it, I knew it fit all my clothes in my wardrobe.
paired with a bright orange pumps
with a designer sweater
I would definitely added on a colorful print scarf and a pairs of leather boots if I were in UK. I am sure you all know a sweater is more than enough for a normal day, you can’t afford to add even a thin layer to heat yourself to get fever.
British college style is my all time favorite , and can’t really get it wrong with its simple theory. The casual but chic style goes well with most of the occasion, especially a date with your love!
Hot pick for British College STYLE: Satchel/Messenger bag
The non-polished leather, more care was needed
Cambridge satchel is a UK handmade leather satchel bag. They come in different size, color, design and style. I picked the chelsea collection with a feminine pastel green color, size 13″ just perfect for my size.
I bought it months ago, when there’s a free shipping to ALL the country. Attractive deals! (Now they are having student discount of a 10％)
could only fit in my wallet and a smart phone
I really love it but I seldom use it, due to the “naked” leather and the small capacity, but we all women love to own pretty thing, don’t you?! So it is now sitting high on my wardrobe in my changing room, cheered me every time I passed by. It is just like a art piece that you need one in your wardrobe and sometimes hanging on your shoulder.
